2021 way too early bowl outlook & trip planning

After picking up win number 6 on 10/16, the Bearcats punched their ticket for another bowl trip with 6 games remaining and high aspirations.

As they keep tallying wins, we’ll keep this page up to date with the latest planning/travel arrangements.

At undefeated, #3 in the country (at the time of writing), we’re just going to skip the shitty AAC bowl tie ins for now. While we won’t go as far as saying that anything less than a NY6 bowl game would be a disappointment, at this point in the season, we as fans have every reason to start planning for some real travel in the next ~2 months.

As of 10/16, here’s what we’re making tentative plans for:

2021 Cotton Bowl Classic

December 31, 2021 – AT&T Stadium – Arlington, TX – ESPN – 3:30 or 7:30pm EST

One of two CFP semifinal games
If this is our destination, we would likely fly to Dallas on Thursday, 12/30 with plans to return Saturday or Sunday
Hotel: Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas-Arlington – we have two rooms reserved, 1 King suite w/ sofabed – Thurs-Sun for ~$250/night (taxes incl), AAA rate
Flight: TBD

2021 Orange Bowl

December 31, 2021 – Hard Rock Stadium – Miami Gardens, FL – ESPN – 3:30 or 7:30pm EST

One of two CFP semifinal games
If this is our destination, we would likely fly to Miami on Thursday, 12/30 with plans to return Saturday or Sunday
Hotel: Embassy Suites by Hilton Ft Lauderdale 17th Street – we have two rooms reserved, 1 King suite w/ sofabed – Thurs-Sun for ~$190/night (taxes incl), government rate (We are THE Republic of Cincinnati, after all)
Flight: TBD

2022 Fiesta Bowl

January 1, 2022 – State Farm Stadium – Glendale, AZ – ESPN – 1pm EST

Most likely NY6 destination if UC is chosen as an at-large and misses the CFP
If this is our destination, we would likely fly to Phoenix on Thursday, 12/30 with plans to return Sunday
Hotel: Home2 Suites by Hilton Phoenix Avondale – we have two rooms reserved, 1 King studio suite w/ sofabed – Thurs-Sun for ~$230night (taxes incl), AAA rate
Flight: TBD

Note that all hotel info above is extremely subject to change, as we would likely book at an official Bearcats hotel if/when it’s available, but it never hurts to have a backup. All above hotels have been chosen due to proximity of bowl game and nightly rate.

All hotels above have free cancellation before midnight on December 29, so there is absolutely no risk to making reservations now.
