With old foes Pitt (and WVU) coming to Nippert this season, we’re reminded of the bygone era of Big East football, one in which the Bearcats have defeated Pittsburgh 5 of the last 6 games dating back to 2008, including a 27-21 victory at Acrisure Stadium in 2023, where UC were 6.5 point underdogs heading into the game.
Of course, our favorite in that stretch also took place in the Steel City:
We had a great time on the road last year, dominating the tailgate lot and celebrating late into the night after what most would consider the highlight of the season.
Order by 5pm on 9/6 and add the “pickup at tailgate” option to your cart and we’ll have your order at the tailgate on Saturday morning. All proceeds benefit the tailgate!
Tailgate info:
What: Cincinnati Bearcats host the Pitt Panthers.
When: Saturday, September 7, 2024. Kickoff time is 12pm, the trailer will be set up by 7am and we will begin cleaning up/tearing down around 60 mins before kickoff to allow plenty of time for everyone to get to their seats for kickoff.
Where: Tailgate Alley at the Grid, Sigma Sigma Commons, University of Cincinnati main campus – spot #3. Park in a garage or on nearby streets and walk over to the tailgate. If you’ll already be at The Grid, feel free to stop by to say hello!
Menu:
- Biscuits & sausage gravy + bacon, eggs, & hashbrowns
- Donuts & misc sides
- Cooler stocked with Cincy Light + NA cooler with water, Coke, Diet Coke, & juice for the kiddos
Who: All are welcome (as long as you can abide by some simple rules)! This is a “community” style tailgate. We always have extra food, but plan accordingly if you intend to eat.
